Thank you to everyone who attended our Festive Winter Event and to those who left their feedback and suggestions about the future of Borough Triangle. We have considered these as we have developed our detailed proposals for the site. We will be consulting on detailed proposals shortly – and we welcome any future comments in the meantime.
Engagement activities
In December, we reached out to local residents to introduce the new team and set our the context for revised proposals for the site, inviting thoughts and suggestions. Activities included a door-knocking session on the Scovell Estate, team attendance at the Bankside Open Spaces Winter Warmer, and a Festive Winter Event at St George The Martyr.
The Festive Winter Event was advertised via:
· A printed newsletter distributed to 8,691 surrounding addresses
· A series of e-newsletter updates to individuals on the project mailing list (which comprises 344 people, as of the time of writing)
· Emails to political and community stakeholders

Feedback
There was support among respondents for the principle of delivering new homes and commercial/community uses on the site. There was also strong support for the creation of new public spaces and pedestrian routes. Building heights and associated impacts were also a prominent subject of interest and information on our revised approach will be shared in our upcoming consultation. Key recurring themes of qualitative feedback included:
• Support for the retention of Mercato Metropolitano
Questions regarding the potential height of the development and impacts on neighbours
• Support for the delivery of genuinely affordable housing
• Support for the greening of the site and the delivery of safe and accessible spaces
